Substitute Teacher

This week while Nick and I are out doing That Thing In The Desert, we’ve got extra doses of Kirstie and Chris Wells for you. That’s not enough to cover all the classes though, so we also have a special guest making an appearance.

Chris Doty is coaching a few classes each day for us. He’s a regular coach at JP CrossFit down on the south side of the city, and some of you have met him in the last few weeks as he has been shadowing me in some classes. He’s been spending some time with me and Nick talking about programming, coaching, and of course lifting heavy things fast. He loves oly lifting and getting strong, and also has a PhD in Linguistics!

I think we’ve got a pretty amazing group of athletes up here, and I’m sure you’ll all show Chris Doty just how awesome your form is today… and all week long! 😉

As for the WOD, we worked on this one in our weekly programming meeting with Chris Doty in attendance, and I personally tested it right there during the meeting. It’s fun! You can really push the pace on this row – make it your fastest possible 250m in order to get the most out of the workout!

Holiday Reminder: CrossFit Somerville will be closed this Monday, September 2nd, for the Labor Day holiday.
