Cash in
Double unders can be a fickle beast.  Even when you think you have them conquered, they could disappear on you for no reason (or because doing them in a slightly different context than you are used to breaks them down completely).  Regardless of your skill level with these, you’ll have 3 minutes to practice these on either end of a regular couplet for time.  This cash in-cash out model will give you a chance to practice fresh and when a bit fatigued.  Don’t expect them to feel the same at the end.  Embracing this challenge will make you better.

– Schedule update:
We will be closed on 11/26 for Thanksgiving.  We’ll only be running one class on Friday, 11/27.  It will be at 11am, uncapped, and we’ll be running the CrossFit WOD “Hope” and collecting donations for Team Rubicon.  Suggested donation is $10, but all members are welcome regardless.Â
STR: 180#. This was actually very comfy, thanks to Mark’s very logical suggestion to chalk up. Snazzy.
WOD: 11:09 w/ 100 DUs on both ends, **16# WB, and kips
(**I switched to Jenna’s 14# ball whenever she was doing pull-ups)
STR: 165#
WOD: 13:10
DUs – 28 & 34
Wallball @ 20#
PUs – 2 rds kipping, 3 rds w/blue band
STR: 275# (I did the math wrong and said 265 at the end of class)
WOD: 12:47 (ring rows, 20# ball)
Double-unders were a hot mess, but I really liked the “just spend three minutes on it” bit. I always scale to single-unders in other WODs thinking “well, I don’t want to slow down too much,” so it was cool to carve out a space where it was okay to stumble a bit, but there was still pressure to keep moving.
