This week is turning out to be incredible. As I hinted to last week, that this week would be tough, you all have come out HARD and have been doing a kick ass job and going a little bit out of your comfort zone and killing workouts. Keep up the great work guys!

RIP old fenway! love this vid!

snatch: successfully landed 70#, successfully failed at 75#…per usual. gotta get over the 75# block!

wod: 7:45 Rx. I really, really liked this one!

    snatch complex @85#
wod: 7:43 rx. burpees in the middle were a nice treat!

wod: 12:54, not even close to Rx! Less and less Rx as it progressed! This is the butt-kicking I spend my hard-earned clams, and skip television at night, to get at CFSV, so I consider that value delivered. No complaints here! Three hours later, I still feel there is some portion of my lungs waiting for air to be delivered. Cal, it makes me smile to see that you “really, really liked this one” – you have the best attitude! I enjoyed practicing just the drop part of the squat snatch – I finally felt like I was doing that part right, and it gives me confidence to do more of those moves. Thanks JT!

hahaha. if this had been more than one time through i would’ve cried. there’s something satisfying about doing something once and feeling really good that you won’t have to revisit!

great job on the snatch stuff!

Hillary – I just want to tell you that your post is what got me out of bed and into the gym tonight. Sometimes I feel like once I am awesome at something I should be awesome at everything, and then I got kinda psyched out — but you’re right — the goal is to get our butts kicked so that we’re stronger next time. 🙂

I *did* RX it, but it took me 14:02. Double-unders are so painfully slow for me still.

Unlrelated – my snatch was an evil mistress tonight. I managed to bonk the barbell off my head once, which was just hilarious (it didn’t hurt at all, and I have no idea how I did it), but I totally nailed 65# and was feeling awesome. Then I somehow threw 70# directly ontop of my lower back. I have a sweet green bruise across my spine. It felt surprisingly OK until I got in my car…hopefully its only a day or two before it’s fine.

yay! getting one’s butt kicked is great – taking one on the back sounds not so good, though. hope you are well soon!

snatch: 85#, finally felt like I was starting to “get” it. Looking forward to doing this again so I can add weight.

wod: 10:08 Rx, flew through the knees to elbows and pull-ups, but lagged on everything else… still need to work on my endurance

squat snatch: 105# PR, same as my PR OH Squat from two days ago. I’m still failing more than succeeding with these, but I felt really good about them today. My previous attempts at squat snatch were more of a power snatch followed by a OH squat. Today I was landing right into the squat. Attempted 115 and got really close, but couldn’t control the weight overhead.

WOD: 9:51 @ 35# and 60 single unders. This one felt good, and I think I scaled appropriately. This is also my first time doing 15 pullups unbroken.

Squat Snatch: 135# – This felt really clean and solid, and is a PR for squat snatch. Everything was clicking, so I tried 155# a couple times and failed, but I don’t think it’s far off.

WOD: 8:14 Rx. Burpees in the middle sucked the life out of me.
