REMINDER: Saturday the 26th I have reserved some space at the Independent for Copley’ going away party. We have an area by the Bar reserved from 6pm-8pm. If we’re all having fun, which with our crew I find it difficult to believe we won’t be, than we can probably have it a little longer. I figured it’d be easiest not to reserve food or drink since everyone will probably want their own thing. Please RSVP by emailing me so I can give them a general headcount. Please RSVP no later than Wednesday.
Schedule Announcement: There will be no class this Friday and Saturday in observance of the Northeast Regionals! Purchase your tickets here and come cheer on our friends at CrossFit Fenway!

Loooooove. There better still be a small Thursday morning. Credit card on file payments accepted?
HBBS: 145# and established a new 1RM along the way: 155#. Shout out to Christine for putting up seriously huge numbers!
WOD: 3Rx for the first one, 3+5 Rx for the second
you too, congrats on 1RM! thx for being my bar buddy. i mean, we all wanna be like this guy, right? http://www.theyoking.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/vintage_strongman.gif
Yup!
love the shirts!
hbbs: 225#
wod 1: 3 + row and 1 thruster rx
wod 2: 3 + 12 rx. man, those 3 minutes go by FAST!
correction: 3 + 15 on wod 2…
now that we have shirts, how about a hoodie? =) i’m kidding (kind of), the shirts are awesome! still love the homemade one we made for the newfitter throwdown…
hbbs – 265# though the last rep was pretty ugly
WOD – 3 rounds + 12 thrusters on #1, 3 rounds + 4 pushups on #2. This was a lot of fun and surprisingly tiring on the quads for me. The squats seemed to slow me down the most. Oh, and if you’ve been practicing rowing without the foot straps at all, I would highly recommend it for this WOD. 150m goes by fast…
Yosh, I will be at the Copley send-off on Saturday but probably closer to 7 based on when I’ll be leaving regionals.
Great recommendation not putting the feet in the straps. Made for really quick transitions.
damn, that’s how you were so fast off the rower!
ha! yeah, i was going to mention it to you, but then we ended up bro-ing out on some oly lift talk. made a huge difference though.
I really liked today’s workout. It was hard, but not ‘This sucks so much I want to run into traffic hard’
HBBS – 275# (I got one at #295 and then failed miserably, too big of a jump I suppose)
WOD 1 – 3 rounds + 10 meters
WOD 2 – 3 rounds + 3 snatches RX
HBBS – 115#, epic fail at 135#. BIG thanks to Brian for coming to my rescue before the barbell crushed me.
WOD – 2 rds + 9, 3 rds + 12
HBBS: 245# for 3, tried 255# and only got 1. That ties my 3RM PR, and I’m pretty sure it’s a 1RM PR, although I haven’t gone for singles in a long time.
Alicia – glad you’re okay and the bar didn’t end up rolling off your neck. Next time, stop the upward movement of your hips, sit back down, and let the bar fall off backwards. Live and learn.
WOD: 4 + 150m, 4 + 1 snatch. LOVED THIS!
HBBS: 205# PR. Stopped there, but I think I could have done more.
WOD: 3 rounds even, 3 rounds + 5 reps. My thrusters were pretty sad. Good thing Rx was only 45#!
Forgot gym clothes today. Cargo pants actually kinda helped me in the air squats to keep me from going too low. Go figure. Thanks for the t-shirt, Yosh!
HBBS: 195# PR. Got a 2-rep PR at 205#. Thanks, Will. 🙂
WOD: 3+110m, 4 even @ 75#. Thrusters did not look good, though I did manage to do them without stopping. Didn’t Rx the power snatch because I can’t get under the bar due to the same flexibility/stability issues that keep my OHS PR around 30#. Sigh. 🙂
Good work, 7pm!
And the T-shirts look great. Can’t wait to wear mine!
HBBS: 165#
WOD: 2 + 8 thrusters Rx, 2 + 3 snatches 45#
