wod: 8:08 rx. I really liked this one! spent way too much time walking over to the bar, though, acting all tough in my mind like “look at me, I’m walking like a panther over to my bar”…but I didn’t look at all like a panther and I was really was just wasting time.
hahaha – I shall practice my panther walk for the remainder of the morning to ensure that it’s out of my system before tonight, then! Excellent advice!
Volume Work: Hand Stand Push Ups. Got through a few rounds to 1 ab mat, then had to scale some more and finished out at 2 ab mats.
WOD: 16 or 17 something. Toes to Bar killed me. I had none left by the time the round of 4 or 3 came around. I already had this as a June goal, but I intend to crush Toes to Bar next time they come around in a WOD. Good news was that the Thrusters in this workout sucked a lot less than I had been expecting them to.
Volume Work: tried to string 3 muscle ups together. made it 8 rounds with 3, then dropped down to 2.i don’t think my shoulders are flexible enough to get into the back-swing the way i want to. fun though.
WOD: 7:56 Rx. i went into this one without a lot of energy, but i think not blowing it out at the start allowed me to pace it well and accelerate towards the end. thrusters really weren’t that bad. kipping toes to bar seemed to be working before the WOD, but broke down as soon as it started
volume trained my ring dips. they actually felt good today, which was a nice change.
wod: 9:27 Rx. Rounds 9-7 were actually the worst ones

yes! 3 minute panther walk AMRAP. if you have a Kangol hat, wear it.
dude, the panther walk totally helped. i’m going to purposely space my stuff out across the box from now on.
next time we’re in the same class, it’s on.
Volume Training – 5 plank push-ups/minute
WOD – 10:28 @ 55# w/situps
After a crappy day at work I was happy to come and lift some weight and get some energy out 🙂
P.S. Thanks Erin M for the friendly competition – love that we dropped our bars at the exact same time!
Loved the competition! We should work on our synchronized thrusters choreography for next month… that’s gotta be an Olympic sport, right?

I was super impressed watching you hammer out those last few toes-to-bar rounds… fantastic integrity and determination.
Thanks Erin. I was extremely frustrated at the end there, but there was NO WAY I was giving up on those TTB.
