    post competition soreness: check.

lbbs: 125#. definitely not a PR but the whole squat thing feels so good after yesterday…

wod: 9:30 at 75#. Kept it lighter to not over tax myself but i’d like to see what this one feels like at 95#!

  2. Ben S says:

    lbbs: 225# (235 x 3, in hindsight I think I gave up mentally on 4)
wod: 10:55 rx. tried to keep up w/ Cal but when I returned from the 2nd run to see her throwing the bar overhead like it was a pvc pipe I kinda lost hope…

LBBS: 195# This was a 5-rep max for me.
WOD: 11:25. This was a little weird for me. I’ve been having trouble with my wrist, so cleaning and going overhead were both no-gos. I did deadlifts at 185# instead. Also, for some reason I thought it was 4 rounds. So, I did some extra work.

Jamie and Lynn both toughed this one out big time. No more wimpy scales for me after witnessing that GRIT.

There is using a challenging scale, and then there is going beyond what you can do safely on a given day. I maybe walked the wrong side of that line, tonight.

thank you for your support, regardless! 🙂

LBBS – 125#, which is BW. I need to work on shoulder mobility, as well as that bit about bringing the shins perpendicular with the ground on the way up.

WOD – 18:20 with 75#. I did not scale well. Cleans just killed me…I kept ending up in this weird ballet 5th position split clean…no clue how/why that happened (it’s never happened before), but it was not good on the knees. And my lower back still is complaining whenever I go overhead.

I think my July goal is going to include going the whole month without posting about injuries. Ideally, not having any.

LBBS: 235# and felt really good about it.
WOD: 7:46 scaled down to 115# so that I could keep the weight moving. Felt good being able to string together sets of 5 push press rather than having to clean and push jerk every. single. rep. Also, came to the realization tonight that there are things called 5 lb plates that I could use to scale too. In my head, the only options were 115 and 135 for the WOD; 125 never even entered my mind until like an hour later.

  8. Steve says:

After 3 weeks off because of injury, sickness and travel, so pumped to be back. Tried to ease into this WOD as not to re-injure myself and make sure I could keep moving. 10:20-something @ 95#. Not exactly sure about my time because I was working outside, which felt amazing.

LBBS: 175#. Again, a little light, but my legs were already feeling wobbly after warming up.
