On September 22, 2012, the Boston Soldier Ride will take place to help benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Soldier Ride is a unique four-day cycling opportunity for Wounded Warriors to use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental, or emotional wounds. The rides are exhilarating and a great way to help warriors gain confidence and realize you can do this! Volunteers are needed, and our own Jaime Bailey as well as Alicia Dunn, are participating at a few of the water stops along the course.

To learn more about Soldier Ride, you can visit: http://www.soldierride.org

11:34 @ 85#. I like Curtis P’s. Glad I happened to be awake in time to make it to the 6:30 class this morning 🙂

  2. Curtis P is ok by me. Maybe I will even rhyme this entire entry.
I showed up late – sorry Cal and KP. 10:12 was my time, wow I’m f%^&ing corny.

8:34 Rx. AND i didn’t push jerk a single one of them!

also, i did doubles for a full minute in our warm up without stopping. PRed – got 104!

    kp. you rock.

8:49 rx. those Curtis Ps are no joke! double unders were definitely a little rusty today, but still a great morning.

wod- 9 40ish (i think??)? i forget.. by the time i get to work in the morning the 5:30 workout seems like it was weeks ago. i did curtis ps at 65# and did 75 singles instead of 25 double unders per round. i’m ALMOST at an unassisted kipping pullup (about mid-forehead level) tomorrow may be the day 🙂 happy wednesday everyone!

Showed up for my second morning WOD today and I definitely feel so much more ready for my day. Only problem with making this more consistent is not ditching the evening crew.
I felt good doing Curtis P’s for the first time. Kept it a bit on the light side of weight for quality reps, but I will feel ready to amp it up next time they come up. I also suck at counting and did a fifth set which I didn’t realize until partway through, but whoever complained for getting extra reps in? On the note of extra reps though, I need to put them in for my ‘double unders’ so that I can get more than one or two in a row. I can’t wait to get there and dominate them.

WOD: 8:45 @ 95#/singles I managed to string together 10 unbroken DUs after the WOD, which was my August goal. New August goal is 20 unbroken at which point I will have no excuse, but to abandon singles.
