Today felt like the first day I could squat after the Garage Games this past weekend.

WOD: 160#. Nice way to get back into squatting. Great job and sound effects 5:30am!

  2. Cal says:

agreed with james, i can finally feel my legs again! just in time for more squats!

squat cleaned at 105#. sound effects are inevitable with this one!

  3. Want you, cuckoo cannonball…

So, let’s recap. Monday push presses. Tuesday more push presses. Wednesday some HSPUs and OH squats (I did push ups per order of Yosh but still) and then today 102 1 pood Kb swings. 102 and not 84 because I over swung one of my swings and then recovered and finished my set of 18 at which point Mandy let us know that if the set is not unbroken we have to do it over.

By the time squat clean time came my shoulders were all like “no, please stop, help us, we’re scared”

Tried out 75# for the first 2 rounds then changed to 65# mid WOD all NASCAR pit crew style.

    As Mandy always says; FUN!

    This morning was interesting.
KB Swing Cannonball, 1 pd: 5:47 (I prefer the drinking game).
    WOD: 85#
Highlight: Nick telling me I sweat like he does

two WODs for the price of one!

cannonball: 16kg, 6min and some change (feeling stronger on these)
WOD: mix of 85# and 95# – finishing with a lot more confidence. mandy’s best advice: send butt back quickly! lest i tangle myself up (how is that even possible with a bar?!) on future squat cleans

  6. cmliu says:

… because it is possible, for those who witnessed it

  7. damien says:

Seems like I missed out on some kb swing goodness by going in the evening. I may make it into a morning class or two next week.

Was able to get a clean PR at 225# during the skill work. Thanks for the coaching, Yosh.

WOD: Tried 185# but that may have been a bit ambitious. Failed both reps in the 8th round, but was able to finish the last two rounds.
