Clean: 78#
WOD: 2+35 (53# push press, knees to chest, 20″ box). Look at me, making no disparaging comments about scaling and performance!
I cannot explain it, but I really like it when people write about the workouts on the days I do them. So I had to post since it was so quiet.
High point was learning about the role of engaged shoulders in getting legs up for the toes-to-bar – I can now see how I might be able to do some of this class of moves in the future. Great class today, 5:30 am!
feels good to be back after unapologetically lazing about for 2 weeks. (although i did do one homestyle WOD over the break… i call it the ‘3 square-foot-er’… for time – 10 pushups, 20 air squats, 10 burpees; 9, 18, 9; 8, 16, 8; etc. perfect for small spaces!)
power clean: 100#
WOD: 3x + 19 Rx. i didn’t realize toes-to-bar didn’t encapsulate shoelaces to bar. definitely makes it more precise!
this was the perfect, back-to-basics workout to get back into the swing of things. thanks 6:30am!
I, too, like when people post. Especially morning folks. Since I’m an evening class attender, I read some of the times before practice to see how painful/awesome it’s gonna be. So, keep it up! Plus, I’m sure the morning people would like to know everyone’s time, since they don’t get to see the board in the evening.
Power clean: #105 plus one rep at #115 (body weight!)
WOD: 3+22 RX with three sets of unbroken toes to bars.
Good day for me. I came in frustrated/angry from coaching high schoolers. I left happy.
Kate – You said exactly what I was thinking about seeing people’s times! As a 5:30am-er I am a bit jealous of those of you who get to come in at 7pm and see a full board. On the flip side, there’s something nice about going into a wod with no idea how long it’s going to take or how many reps I can expect to get in. Either way, I love reading the blog to see other times throughout the day, and wish more people would post regularly!
Anyhow…
Power clean: #115
WOD: 4+24 RX. I can’t complain about any wods with toes-to-bars AND box jumps. They hold a special place in my heart. 🙂
