These felt awesome today. I could’ve maybe gone for another set or two, but I decided to play it safe and end on a positive note.
WOD: 5:39 (narrow air squats instead of pistols)
Phenomenal class today. All the ladies and gents kicked ass.
Clean: 175# PR I haven’t done a lot of these, so this was a 40# PR. I could definitely have gotten more weight up, but I was having trouble maintaining good form at the bottom of the squat.
WOD: 8:09 First 2 rounds rx, second two with lots of scaling. Didn’t have much in the way of pull-ups this morning.
I enjoyed a rare 12:00 class due to a snow day. Some pretty talented folks and some nice newbies.
squat clean: #115 PR body weight. wee.
WOD: 8:39 The 1.5pd was a bit too heavy for me to RX this. Went unbroken on the first set of pullups. Not so much on the second. I can rock out pistols on my right leg but not so much on my left. But, fortunately, Yosh gave me some advice about putting more weight over my leg and it worked like a charm.
Kuddos to Amy who did way more wall balls than the prescribed 40 because she failed a few. Totally inspiring and baller.
I, also, got to sleep in and attend the 7:30am due to a snow day. I know not everybody agrees that 7:30am is sleeping in, but it is definitely no 5:30. 🙂
Squat Clean: 125#. Couldn’t quite stand 135# up. Next time.
WOD: 10:01rx. The pistols took me forever, but I did ’em without a plate. I wasn’t going to let a half-inch plate ruin an otherwise-rxed workout, so I made pistols happen. They weren’t pretty.
Clean: 235# PR, had 245# on my shoulders but didn’t stand it up. Next time.
