Snatch DL: 225# This lift is killer on the hook grip.
WOD: 6:12 Rx
Fun little WOD. It’s good to be back in Somerville! Great job Cal and Marcos!
Great job 5:30! Very nice to have you back, Jim and Cal!
Snatch DL: 225#. JK! 135#.
WOD: 7:00 Rx. Push ups…BLERGH.
Great work trekking out in the snow 5:30!
Mandy and I spent some quality time together today at the 7:30am. Where was everybody? It was just a little snow…
Snatch DL: 200#
WOD: 11:50rx. Slow as molasses, but the first time I RXed a workout with double unders! I agree with Cal – the push ups were NOT FUN!
congrats on the double under rx!
You’re getting those double unders in leaps and bounds!
noon class snow day! Nice job everyone.
Snatch DL: 245# working on the form
WOD: 930 with singles, and NO BANDS ON PULLUPS (that’s a first 🙂 Thanks for Dan calling Nikki and I out on using red bands, and for Yosh taking the bands away. It’s impressive what you can do when you’re forced to do it.
Nice work ‘No Bands Crew’!! Bring on the pullups for 13.3!!!
huzzah to no band pull ups! (by the way DT is done at 155#. I think I may have accidentally said 165 last night)
Arrivederci red band, it’s been real. Thanks Dan and Yosh for putting us on blast like that, gotta embrace the tough love.
awesome! you must feel so… free
I felt like a baby having my binky taken away. Dan, like an older brother, ratting me out and Yosh, like my dad, taking the band away. *sigh* Divine intervention i suppose, I wouldn’t have done it myself.
Whoa whoa. I didn’t rat you out. I saw you warming up with red band and simply said it looked way too easy and an encouraging “get rid of the band”. And looked what happened. Great job today!
Congrats again on the no bands! That’s big stuff! This is pretty much how it happened to me too – KP stole my bands off my bar while I had my back turned doing wall balls in an AMRAP. I turned around to do my pull ups and the bands were just gone!
YEAH girl I was legit thinking about that today – how strong you are and how much you do NOT need that band – This is AWESOME!!
Awesome! No band pullups for the win, Nikki!
It was nice to mix it up with the lunch time crew today.
265# deadlift, interesting lift…
11:49 RX. Had a hard time getting the double unders strung together consistently.
dude, i feel like trekking through the snow was already a hefty warm-up this AM. (that includes dodging the plow mountains…)
snatch deadlift: 195# PR. the last time i did this i could only lug 105# before my fingers fell off. yeah hook gripppp.
WOD: 12:12 with DU, red-band. there was enough variety to keep the exhaustions evenly distributed 🙂
Snatch DL: 215 working on form.
WOD: 5:38 Rx. Super fun. Brian, definitely going to steal your rope.

Done!
snatch dl: 305#
wod: 8:14 rx…getting there….
Snatch Grip DL: 305#
WOD: 6:10 Rx. Grip/shoulders/triceps are all suffering.
Snatch DL: 265#, grip was the limiting factor, but could probably do more.
WOD: 5:13 Rx, need consistency with the double unders but this one felt good.
Snatch Grip Dead lift = I always want to actually snatch when I put my hands on the bar like that – 145# I’m starting to love this grip since my moment of awesome with squat snatch last week. Loving all the snatch moves these past weeks 🙂
WOD 7:50 with singles. I need to practice my doubles and my kip they would have come in handy today! I think I kipped one of those the rest were strict. Some of you make kipping look so easy
Big things poppin on Tuesday. Looks like major strides made by many! Fuck yeah!!
DL: 235#, my thumbs hurt
WOD: 10:47 RX, also my first DU WOD RXed. Felt amazing stringing together DUs with some consistency. Thanks to Nick and Brian for the pointers, these help a lot!
Thanks Dan 🙂 sometimes people see in me what I don’t see in myself. What a thread!! Have fun at the viewing party to those who are going, and I’ll see everyone tomorrow night
