Olivia PetersĀ is trying to organize a team to represent CrossFit Somerville at the Climb for Hope! The Climb for Hope is a race up 46 flights of stairs located at 1 International Place and takes place on April 28th. This stairclimb raises money for Wediko Childrenās Services, who provide mental health services for children in the Boston area. Strength:135# across.
Wod: 9:27rx. A big improvement over 12/18’s 10:59! Plus, I remember feeling like I was dying in December and this one felt much, much better!
Also, between my special warm up, the wod, and my I’ll-do-Burpees-til-everyone-is-done commitment, I got 92 burpees I this morning. Glad to get today burpees + some make-ups knocked out so early in the day!

Tried to not push too hard this morning for recovery purposes.
Strength: 65# across
WOD: 13:32. Slow, but funny how those burpees didn’t seem so bad after the 40/30 at the beginning of the first Open workout.
Lydia – Yes, I can attest that training for burpees definitely makes them easier! Open wod 13.1 was DEFINITELY easier than it would have been without all the burpees I’ve been doing for the 100 burpee challenge.
Oh, and I’m glad I got 92 in this morning, but I’m supposed to do 196 today if I’m going to catch up with all the ones I didn’t do over the weekend!

WOD: 9:00, compared to 9:19 last time. Not a huge improvement but still progress.
