OVHS: 105#pr. I wasn’t excited to do these today, but they felt good! Good enough to accidentally put extra weight on the bar and PR by an extra 5 pounds. I had no idea. 🙂
wod: 5:12rx. First time with rx handstand pushups. I think it took me a full minute to get through that last set. 🙂
I am super pumped for Saturday! Shorty & Cal looked super strong doing 13.4 this morning – nice work guys!
here’s my advice after doing it once (and likely going to do this one again):
if you’re comfortable with the weight, do whatever you want. if you’re less comfortable, note this got pretty heavy in my second set because 3 TTB took about 10 seconds, so it was kind of like i did 9 straight C&J. i didn’t touch and go on my set of 6 C&J, but i also didn’t manage my rest/reset well at all, and lost a lot of time. also, i was push jerking mine, but wasn’t dropping under the bar enough and ended up pressing a few of them out. don’t do that. splitting takes more time, but it makes a big difference if you’re having trouble getting the bar over head.
good luck everyone! this one was sort of fun, and in comparison to last week, was heaven 🙂
OHS: 185# PR! I PR this lift every time we do it, definitely makes it fun.
WOD: 5:21 Rx. I finished my second to last HSPU around the 3:30 mark or so. Took me forever to get that last rep, super frustrating.
For anyone doing 13.4 in the next few days:

This is the video that finally made me click with TTB. Hopefully this will give some of you some inspiration as well.

thanks for the tips! i relish any opportunity to do split jerks, so i’ll milk it.
I agree, sooo looking forward to split jerking!
congrats on the hard-earned handstand pushups — you’re unstoppable
Olivia, you must be so psyched for TTB! You are the expert.
