#BostonStrong (UPDATED)
I received two emails last night about events which are being held to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon. Here are the details:
Candlelight Vigil
Tonight at 7:45pm in front of City Hall/ Somerville High School
Please join Mayor Curtatone, Tufts University, and the Somerville Road Runners for a candlelight vigil in honor of the victims of Monday’s attacks at the Boston Marathon. The Vigil will also include a healing ceremony, giving attendees the opportunity to speak to the crowd with messages of hope, support and peace. Please join us to honor all of those affected by this horrible tragedy.
Memorial WOD
This Saturday, April 20th, at CrossFit Somerville, we will be taking part in a community wide WOD to help raise funds for the Richard Family of Dorchester. It has been asked that donations be made in any amount possible. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated. To make a contribution, bring in cash and we’ll take a collection to donate en masse to the charity, or you can donate online at this link. The workout is as follows:
5 rounds
4 Squat Clean and Jerks (185/125)
15 Chest-to-bar pullups
13 Burpee lateral jumps
After the 5 rounds are complete:
800m Run
We Run for Boston!
The Race has been cancelled due to permit confliction

Yosh – it all sounds great!
Any chance we’ll be doing the Saturday wod earlier or later in the day so we can do the 5K run too? Or maybe two sessions??
I concur with Olivia, an early session would be awesome.
I’d love to be able to do both as well. Any chance we can make that happen? Or is the WOD time set in stone for the community?
The run has been cancelled. I’ll be at the gym this morning to get y’all moving in the “Marathon Monday” WOD and collect donations for the Richard family.
