Something Completely Different

This programming is a little different. I’ve paired something a lot of you wanted from the survey (more skill work) with something just about everyone hates: running. More to the point: sprinting. The WOD itself was recently on the CrossFit.com mainsite, and it’s a great way to test your speed and pacing.

That said, both of these are technique heavy activities that require specialized strength. Listen to your coaches and get after it!

…and no dogging it on these runs. Really, really push it hard.

Skill: Kipping

WOD:
Sprint Intervals
Every five minutes for 6 rounds:
Sprint 200 meters, for time
Run 400 meters

    1. nice monty python reference!

    2. i really liked today’s WOD. challenging in different ways. there was something very formula 1 about it, too (managing the tight turns)

weird question, but you know how we’ve morphed the scaling for ring dips from using the band to leveraging feet on floor/box? or instead of pushups to the floor, the scaling is pushups on a box or a bar? i’m curious if there’s a method to scale pull-ups without a band (but with the spirit and form of the original motion).

Hey folks, anyone interested in checking out the new sausage-joint (Bronwyn) in Union Square after the evening classes on Wednesday night? I always feel better post-WOD with a little sausage in me…
