SUMO!
The sumo deadlift is a variation on the deadlift that we know and love. Â The wider stance might test our mobility and flexibility, but it will most definitely allow us to target slightly different muscle groups (that generally line up a slight bit better with our squatting muscles). Â Arguably more importantly, it is also super functional. Â As much as we love the conventional deadlift, if we are going to pick something up off the ground, chances are it’s going to be between our legs and we’ll need to engage in a wider stance.

“I like fighting”
SDL: 355#
Had more in me, but ran out of time. No biggie.
WOD: 5:08 (135#, 20# ball)
Nice little burner.
SDL: 135#, because my form was going to hell higher and we were running out of time.
WOD: 8:37 (65#, 10#). I know burpees don’t like me either, but UGH, burpees :S.
Nice work from the 7:30, especially our newbees Jason and Tristan who rocked some complicated new movements!
SUMO: #155 After having some time to rehab and work on mobility issues on my lower back. This movement is really challenging to me. Nicco said I looked safe and in control, which was awesome.
WOD: 4:58 (#135 and #20WB) Burner for sure. Stacked classes all day. love seeing that!
SDL: 135#. These got a little easier after I realized that I have something called a “core” (thanks Nick!).
WOD: 7:01 at 70# and blue med ball. I was reminded that my burpees are even slower than my running! Doesn’t matter, I got a hell of a workout today. So now I’m rewarding myself with a delicious pumpkin beer. Cheers and happy fall!

WOD 5:48 @ 75# and 14#
I’m a slow burpee-er and I don’t feel “on” very often lately… fighting back to that happy place I was at fitness-wise pre-Italy. I need a whole 30…
SDL: 175#
WOD: 6:43 (75#, 10# MB)
Doing PBS-ing and toppling benches … It’s just one of them days.
Nice to see so many familiar 6:30 faces!
I am really impressed together with your writing abilities and also
with the structure in your weblog. Is that this a paid theme
or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the excellent high quality writing,
it’s uncommon to see a great blog like this one nowadays..
