Front Squat Fridays

As if you didn’t love front squats enough, today we get to revel in the bottom position for 2 full seconds per rep.  That might not seem like a lot, but if you’re weak or loose at all down there, things will fall apart quickly.

After that, we have a “Nate” inspired AMRAP with what we feel is a really neat “scale” for handstand pushups.  (I say “scale” because we’re using it as Rx today).  This one will be particularly good for those of you who just need to spend more time controlling your body when it’s upside down.  It’ll be fun for all, and the pull ups and kettlebell swing will be sure to keep it spicy at the same time.

*2 second pause at the bottom

WOD:

AMRAP 14

4 press to headstands

6 CTB pull ups

8 KBS (2/1.5)

    WoD: 8+4 rounds w/banded CTB pullups and 1.5 pd KB. Felt more confident with the press-to-headstands by the end!
