Give it an Olympic “tri”

Before                                                               After

For those of you who don’t know, Mel and Niki competed and completed their first Olympic distance triathlon this weekend. Give them a high five if you see them.

Back to business; we’re switching the order of things around and giving you a good workout to bite into first. The elements are simple so you can push your limits and finish before the eight-minute time cap. The wall balls, kettlebell swings, and toes to bar will get you nice and warmed up to lift.

The strength is a combination of front squats and a split jerk. Whether you are limited by your front squats or your jerk make sure to respect your limitations on either lift.

WOD:
5 Rounds
10 Wall balls (20/14)
10 Kettlebell swings (53/35)
10 Toes to bar
*8 min cap

Strength:
3 Front squats + 1 split jerk

    115# max

  2. Eoin says:

    WOD: 4+21 @ 20#, 44#
    STR:150#

  3. Jon says:

    WOD: 4 + 24; 20# ball, 1.5Pd kettlebell, knees-to-cough-mumble
STR: 145# (PR for split jerks!)

Was feeling great in the WOD up until set 4, at which point things got real ugly real fast. I think I might have done better if I’d gone for a jog around the bock first to get warmed up a little more.
