AMRAP 15
5 Hang Squat Clean (115/85)
10 Push ups to Bar (85# bar minimum)
20 later hops over the bar
So guys, mid range work out. A little pacing should happen but not much. The squat cleans are a little on the heavier side of things, there are only 5 so push yourselves here! The push ups to a bar will be RX for today – you need to have at least an 85# bar to do the push ups to a bar (the 10# and 15# plates will buckle under weight and ruin the plates). Doing push ups to a bar takes just a little more shoulder stability as well as core strength, which can be hard to tap into when you are gassed and breathing heavy. And that is what the lateral hops are there for, to gas you. Make sure you pick your feet up high enough to get over that bar!
So team, I want everyone to chose a challenging weight for the squat cleans today. If we are not doing push ups to a bar, still choose a challenging scale, if you usually use an agro box, do push ups on the floor or if you usually use 24″, try 20″! This is an AMRAP, we do still want you to keep as much continuous movement as possible but it is a day to try for the more challenging scale. Y’all are going to crush it!
