Time to Clean

Jenna Buckle | 12/18/2019 | 4

Time for some cleans — and heavy ones, at that! For our strength, we’ll work through a complex of 2 power cleans followed by 2 front squats, every minute on the minute for 10 minutes. This is our chance to drill our explosive hip drive (the power cleans) and then get below parallel (the front squats) before we put the two movements together into squat cleans for the WOD.

When it comes to your loading for the squat cleans in the WOD, choose a weight that’s heavier than you normally use. Think: something that you would execute in quick singles. We don’t want to see you flying through squat cleans touch and go today…. but you can certainly fly through those pull-ups 🙂

Str

EMOM 10
2 power cleans + 2 front squats

WOD

5 Rounds
5 squat cleans (185/135)
10 pull-ups

    WOD: 9:54 @ 115# & pull-ups. I feel like I could have gone a bit heavier
