“Chesty”
While today’s work is titled “chesty”, calling it “shoulder-y” might give you a fuller idea of what’s going on here. Also, if you haven’t been already, today might be a good day to start getting creative with your equipment. We’re looking to use load at least for the press if not also for the rows. IF you have some dumbbells or a kettlebell, that’s great, use those. If you don’t, find something that has some weight to it that you can hang on to fairly easily. Personally, I’m a fan of using loads without easy to grip handles. If you’re into it, you might find a rock or cinder block that serves you well and helps you not take all of our convenient handles in the gym for granted. If not, maybe a couple jugs of laundry detergent/water/loaded grocery bags will do the trick. If this is normal for now, we might as well make the best of what we have in front of us.
Warm up: 2x
10 x arm circles, front and back
Michael Phelps floor shoulder stretch
tricep stretch
15 jumping jacks
15 burpees
10 inch worms in place

10 dips (use a chair or table)
5 rows (either table row like a ring row or do bent over rows with load)
10 overhead press (with DB, KB, water jug, small child, etc.)

My small child is not going to be impressed when I can’t lift him tomorrow. 7.5 rounds using full laundry detergent bottles as weights.
5 + 25
Great workout to follow up a big leg day!
6+15 with push-ups to 16″ bench, dips with bent knees, bent over rows with 35# KB, and overhead press with 35#KB.
OH presses were definitely the limiting factor.
As advertised!
7+5 w/ intermediate dips, 12kg KB for the rows, and 15lb sandbags (formerly used to secure light stands and film equipment) in each hand for the presses
6+20 with single arm #35 KB rows, same KB for overhead press. Push ups to dips got spicy.
Happy Tuesday!
7+5
regular push ups, table dips w/ bent legs, jumping pullups (these got Very Janky as I had no other scale and my arms were almost straight at the start … but I was definitely pulling), and giant gatorade OH presses.
The OH presses were too easy but I couldn’t figure anything else where I could do both arms at once :-/
7 rounds. Harder than I thought it would be.
Cat5 stuck around for the whole thing. Didn’t participate though.
7 rounds even. I used 20# dumbbells for rows and OH press, push-ups to the coffee table (lower than my usual box) and dips with bent knees. The weight was a bit much for the OH press, so I scaled to 7 reps per round, and even that turned into shoulders to overhead (with a little help from the legs) in the last couple of rounds. But it felt great to lift some weight overhead for sure.
P.S. I must confess I only did 10 burpees per round in the warm up; it seemed like enough
6 rounds +5
Used a Sonos Play:5gen2 speaker for OH press (15lbs).
5 pushups
10 dips (chair, bent knees)
5 rows (table row)
20 OH press (weight felt light)
15+10.
5 push ups
10 chair dips
5 bent over DB rows (20lbs each)
10 OH press (one 20lb DB)
