Tuesday 9/7/2021 – Power and Endurance (Physical and Mental)

I hope you had a great long weekend and now you’re ready to get back to it! Today we will be working on our Power Clean and Jerk in sets of 3 building. Keep it as touch and go for as long as you can do so with good form. When you get heavier and need to reset before the next lift, you can switch to 3 quick singles. Keep the continuity but take time to set your start position.
When we are done with this, we will reduce the weight on your bar to something lighter because we’ll be using it for clean and jerk in the WOD.
The WOD will be a straight forward effort to complete 5 rounds for time of 35 double unders, 7 clean & jerks, and 5 hand-release push-ups. This one is grindy because the first two movements will definitely get your heart rate up and breathing short. The mask will make you feel encumbered and you’ll desperately want to run outside and rip it off. It’s been a few weeks now, so you know, just slow down a bit to keep moving and breathe. You CAN do this. So, do it.
