All Jump

When we power snatch, we’re training a complex movement with a simple foundation: it’s all jump. At it’s heart the power snatch is about forming good movement patterns to allow those powerful legs to transmit force to the bar (via an engaged core and loose arms). Without that, the jump won’t lift that bar into position.

So we’ll be practicing technique and getting that jump prepped, then we’ll move into a 15 minute AMRAP that will use various movements, all with powerful hip engagement. Lots of jump – and powerful hip drive – are definitely called for today.
