Like a Continental Soldier
Today we really ARE throwing it over the shoulder! Certainly not in an uncontrolled fashion, but the goal here is to use a Damn Heavy Weight and get it from ground to shoulder – then drop it off the back side, turn around, and do it again. It’s a fun thing to do, and it invites using awkward and novel apparatus for the challenge. Ever wondered about those big concrete stones sitting in our parking lot? Yup, this is a good day for finally getting to use those! Not interested in lugging around an intact boulder? Try loading up a sandbag – after all, it’s just the same rock crushed up into reeeeeeal tiny pieces.

* Use a big medball, or sandbag, or atlas stone – pick up something heavy, get it onto your shoulder, and then dump it off the back side before turning around and doing it again
