Holding It Together
As the old saying goes: when you’re going through hell, keep going. And the key to continuing to make forward progress in this WOD will be your ability to hold it together – to wit, using strong core engagement to hold a strong hollow as you walk your hands from a plank up to a handstand at the wall. Nothing leads to more spoiled wall walks (IMO) than a lack of strong core engagement. Sometimes that happens because the shoulders can’t open well, and that leads to breaking that hollow position to arch the back. Sometimes it happens because fear makes you look at the ground instead of the wall you’re walking towards. And sometimes it happens because you’re just plain tuckered out.
There’s lots of reasons why you might break midline engagement today… but if you want to keep going, you’re gonna need to hold it together.
