Sifting, Separating
One thing that CF Open seasons classically featured was at least one “separator” WODs: chipper style WODs that anyone can attempt, but where the increasing strength and skill threshold required for each successive step means that some chunk of the competitors fall off at each round.
This is a similar kind of workout. For class today, we will be encouraging you to scale the movements appropriately so that you can continue to make good progress throughout the 14 minutes. But if you’re looking to compete in the CrossFit Open and beyond, it’s good to look at a WOD like this as part of your prep. Seeing a place where you can’t quite hit the competitive standards is a good guide for directing your training focus going forward.
WOD:
AMRAP 14
60 Cal Row
50 Toes To Bar
40 Wall Ball (14/20)
30 Cleans (95/135)
20 Ring Muscle Ups
