Dogs and Dragons

One of the most bewildering things to folks new to CrossFit is the wide array of jargon and lingo and abbreviations that are just part of the standard CrossFitters lexicon. After a while, though, you’ve got it and are chatting amout EMOMs and AMRAPs like a veteran, and nothing much surprises you on the whiteboard.

But every sport has its own obscure vocabulary, and our gymnastic strength focus this cycle means its much more likely that even experienced CrossFitters are going to be occasionally scratching their heads. Bird Dogs? Dragons? Don’t you worry: as with everything else, your coaches are here to teach you what you need to know. Just think of it as a way to revisit the feelings of your first few weeks of CrossFit.
