    Week 2/Day 2 Hatch Squat Cycle

    WOD: 8:03 Rx

    Halfway through the second set of lunges the 45# plate was dropped on my big toe as I was going to rest it in my hip crease. Let me tell you, that does not tickle. Nothing says happy holidays like losing a toe nail. Yikes. Great job 5:30am! A nice KP surprise this morning.

    Just a reminder to everyone – when you’re box jumping, there are two rules:
    1) FULL FOOT ON THE BOX: land fully on there, not with your heel hanging off.
    2) FULL FOOT ON THE GROUND: make sure your heel kisses the ground and that you launch off from there, every time.

    If you want to step down after each rep, that is perfectly acceptable (and advisable, if you’re feeling any soreness in your calves or ankles).

    turkish getups: 25#. always have a tiny fear that i’ll bonk my face on the way down.

    WOD: 9:14 Rx. My box jump rebounds are slowly improving 🙂
